Dos Equis doesn’t spend any time talking about the beer’s taste, ingredients, brewing, or quality.  The ads in this series focus on the one factor most important in the selection of an expensive beer—image.  People aren’t very good judges of beer quality, and their taste preferences are flexible within a broad range.  The best information beer drinkers have about the rewards of buying Dos Equis is their impression of the sort of people who drink that brand.  Thanks to this long running series of ads, the impression that pops into a beer drinker’s mind when looking at Dos Equis in the cooler is, “The Most Interesting Man in the World.”
