Carl’s Jr. and Hardee’s want viewers to know that they have a chicken breast sandwich with the biggest chicken breast in fast food.
But the ad does not suggest to viewers the pleasure of having a sandwich with a larger chicken breast. Instead, the ad is a weak joke about thousands of roosters flocking to the restaurant because they are excited about a big chicken breast. The joke may be mildly amusing but it certainly isn’t appetizing.
It would be easy to do a funny ad telling viewers that “sometimes bigger is better” leading to the anticipation of a great sandwich at Carl’s Jr. and Hardee’s.
